Overview of the clinical trial and naturalistic use literature to identify key takeaways regarding the use of cannabis for pain.
Audience
This course is intended for primary care providers, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, medical assistants, pharmacists and other clinical and non-clinical practice staff.
Participation in the live Treating Pain & Addiction course is recommended, but not required, prior to participation in this online learning activity.
Faculty
Kevin Boehnke, PhDKevin Boehnke is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and the Chronic Pain and Fatigue Research Center. Kevin received his doctorate from the University of Michigan School of Public Health in Environmental Health Sciences in 2017. He is also a yoga instructor. His research focuses on therapeutic applications of cannabis and psychedelics and addressing the public health harms caused by their criminalization.
